Upon cleaning titten's litterbox she kept looking under this one area (why it was raised with space underneath it to begin with i have no idea) but I found my tablet pen! So, my conclusion was that she takes everything to her basement lair and looses the most valuable items under that ledge. I know now where to go in case of future theft.
